Local Community Development Corporations:

The following Community Development Corporations are working to revitalize Winston-Salem through education, community organizing, real estate development, and economic development measuers.

The Goler Community Development Corporation
The Goler Community Development Corporation is dedicated to revitalizing the area between downtown, East Winston, and the Piedmont Triad Research Park.  They have an excellent website, are associated with the Gallery Lofts, and hope to foster healthy mixed-use development.

Liberty Community Development Corporation
This CDC focuses on initiatives surrounding Liberty Street, a street that runs from downtown and runs northwest to the Smith Reynolds Airport.  It is funded by the North Carolina Community Development Initiative, the Winston-Salem Funders Collaborative, and the City of W-S.

S.G. Atkins Community Development Corporation 
The S.G. Atkins Community Development Corporation is an off-shoot of Winston-Salem State University and is funded primarily by that institution and grant money from HUD.  They recently launched a green Small Business Incubator.
