Inmar to add 120 jobs; Hilltop House Apartments Open Downtown


Inmar Inc., a Winston-Salem based company that does a variety of data and logistics analysis for retailers and manufacturers plans to add 120 jobs to their headquarters here in Winston by the end of the year.  This is a link to the "Careers" page of their website; Inmar Inc. has 4,500 employees in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

Last night was the grand opening for the Hilltop House Apartments in downtown Winston-Salem.  The apartments are the result of former Wachovia CEO Bud Baker's $8 million renovation of a former hotel.  The property, which was foreclosed upon in 2009, is located at 241 S. Downtown Area Ranked #2 by Livabilitly.com

 
The ranking was based upon the entertainment options offered in downtown area's, the planning that went into their design, and their architecture and green spaces.  Old Salem was listed as a major attraction and the editor's said the four downtown districts worked like "magic".  Other top ten downtown's included San Antonio, TX, Louisville, KY, Burlington, VT, Savannah, GA, Fort Worth, TX, and Eugene, OR.
